Performance and Risk Rating
Each year we produce up to date analysis showing the investment performance of the different risk-rated Portfolios recommended. You will find below links to the relevant page for various risk levels below.
Our risk rating for the investment portfolios in your Currencycloud GPP Scheme are from 1 to 5, with 1 being the lowest and 5 the highest. Your Royal London Portfolios are rated on this same scale as “Cautious (being level 1) through to Adventurous (level 5). The portfolios are then divided up in to three time horizons (term to your target retirement age, or ‘TRA’), which are:
- 15 years or more
- 10 years or more (less than 15)
- 5 years or more (less than 10).
Less than 5 years to retirement
Once you are less than 5 years from taking benefits from the Scheme, your investments are gradually switched to bonds and cash over the period. This final 5-year cycle to retirement is undertaken in discussion with you and will not be automated without your consent, as your own circumstances may indicate that a different approach is preferred.
Always contact us should you be considering your options over the final 5 years, as your preferred course for investment will often be dictated by your overall financial circumstances. For example, you should at least be considering every single one of your accrued pension scheme benefits, from every historical employment you have had, before finalising your strategy at this important point in time.
